I have been contacted by a few of our members who do not have email. If this applies to you please call me at 781 231 0074, so you can go on our mail list. Your board has voted to email you your newsletter and this is the last paper email we will be sending, excluding the members that absolutely do not have this access. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE WHO HAS NOT RESPONDED TO MY EARLIER REQUESTS DO SO AT THIS TIME. WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO LOSE OUT ON UPCOMING ECB NEWS AND EVENTS BECAUSE WE ARE NO LONGER PRINTING THE NEWSLETTER. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS ONE WAY FOR US TO MAINTAIN OUR BUDGET…

Third, The ACF Northeast Regional Conference is to be held at the Westin Hotel at the Waterfront on February 6, 7, 8 & 9. This a unique
opportunity to gain needed courses, culinary education credits, networking and plus having FUN in your own back yard. As you know the EPICUREAN CLUB OF BOSTON IS THE HOST CHAPTER FOR THIS EVENT and the deadlines for hotel and conference attendance are rapidly approaching so please make your reservations now. The ACF has notified us that deadlines have been extended, but don’t wait to long. Just visit the www.acfchefs.org website for needed information. Our Chairman of the Board is also the chairman for this event; Chef Americo DiFronzo, CEC, AAC.

“Rico” along with other board members are chairing different aspects of the event for the ACF N.E. Regional Conference, but “Rico” has been and will be the chief liaison between the ACF national office and our Club until the event is over. He is being assisted by Jeffrey D. Barr, Ambassador Chair, Jimmy
DiMarzio, CEC Transportation Chair; Anthony M. Graffeo, CEC, AAC, Hot Food Competition Chair,
Jeffrey Cincotta, host chef and AAC Dinner Chair. Note: I was fortunate to attend the tasting for the AAC Dinner to be held at The Charles River County Club last week and Chef Cincotta’s food was outstanding! Bravo! For tickets to this dinner you can also visit www.acfches.org. Also, Board Member Al McPhee will be doing the photo work for the ACF N.E. Regional Conference, our new Club Secretary/Clerk, Doug Patten, CEC, CCA is working with all the committees, and our own Sergeant of Arms, Doug Corrigan is working with the competition committee and working on donations from Garelick Farms and N.E. Coffee, Company.

Fourth, thanks to all the other members of the ECB Board, the ECB membership and the Northeast chapters for the turnout that Jeff Barr has received on our ambassador program. Mr. Barr is doing a presentation on January 12th at US Foods to educate our ambassador’s on what their duties are going to be at the N.E. Regional Conference! Kudos Jeff!

Fifth, Chef Ming Tsai and Henry Wainer are both going to give keynote educational performances at this
N.E. Regional Conference, so don’t miss it!

Sixth, On January 19th our next regular meeting is at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, where we will
sample Wellfleet Oysters, the cuisine of the Babson's College Chefs and more…….Our Board members, Doug Patten and Jeffrey Cincotta are working hard on making this a great event to kick of the ECB in 2009! We also will be issuing culinary education credits for this event. IT WILL BE A BUSY YEAR FOR THE ECB, SO PLEASE JOIN US!
