PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

The first meeting of the year was held at Polcaris Restaurant, Chef Louis Hubbell worked with Kellus Sewell of Aqua Gold Marine Farms Belize and chef Damian Martineau of Damian’s on the River in New Boston, NH 03070 to demonstrate the ways in which Cobia fish is farmed, how to break down the fish and various ways to prepare it. We then dined on the fish three different ways. Also, the power point presentation by Kellus and the discussion about using a sustainable fish like Cobia were well received. All who attended received three CEU for ACF educational points. It was a great first meeting turn out; the 50/50 raffle prize was for 117.00 dollars to the winner.
Our next meet will be a one of a kind also, held at the brand new restaurant KOREAN KING BBQ in Canton, Ma., on October 20th. Chef Jane and her husband will demonstrate how their brand of Korean BBQ is prepared. After this educational component we will sit down to a Korean Buffet. One CEU will be issued for attendance at this dinner.

Please save the date of NOVEMBER 10TH TO ATTEND OUR 114TH EPICUREAN CLUB OF BOSTON PRESIDENT’S BALL. There is an invitation in this newsletter to all of you and you may use it to invite whomever you wish. You may also call the regular voice mail to make your reservation and pay at the door. The board always includes an invitation in the hopes you will get the word out to friends, family, associates, purveyors and anyone who would like to come. You may wear a suit and tie if renting a tuxedo is not your style or budget. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND!
It is the night we set aside once a year to show our peers the respect they so deserve for all of their volunteer hours.
The meeting November 3rd at Sid Wainer & Son will be a chance to network with our neighbors in ACF Rhode Island and ACF Cape Cod and the Islands.
